Pilea peperomioides CareUpdated a day ago

  • Light: Pilea peperomioides (AKA Chinese Money Plant) prefers moderate to bright light.
    • Ideal placement would be near a South facing window, set back 1 - 2’ from the window
    • Leaves folding outward or showing a lumpy texture are an indication of too much sun
  • Water when the top 2 inches of soil are nearly dry to the touch.
  • Any moss atop the soil is decorative and can be pulled aside to test the soil for moisture.
  • Pilea peperomioides are pet friendly.
  • Note: “Money plant” is a colloquial name – these are NOT related to the Money Tree (Pachira aquatica, or Guiana Chestnut plant).
